Pierre Yves Colin Morey
Corton Charlemagne
Corton Charlemagne
Bourgogne, France
Created in 2005, the Pierre-Yves Colin Morey estate covers six hectares in the Saint Aubin and Chassagne-Montrachet appellations.
After having cut his teeth at his father's estate (Marc Colin), Pierre-Yves decided to launch his own estate with his wife Caroline Morey.
Designated by the specialized press as one of the "most gifted winemakers of his generation" (RVF), the wines of the estate, mainly from Chassagne, Meursault and Saint Aubin are to be discovered absolutely.
With his wife Caroline, Pierre-Yves Colin operates this small estate, while supplementing production by purchasing grapes (up to a third of the volume).
In the vineyards, the work is carried out in a reasoned perspective and in the cellar, the vinifications are little interventionist.
One of the strengths of this area is the maturing, which is done mostly in half-muids and is very subtle.
This signature widely recognized by amateurs and professionals is undeniably a safe bet!
Pierre-Yves Colin Morey's Corton-Charlemagne is sublime, especially after a few years of cellaring. It has an aging potential of a good fifteen years.
